NOVA T-4K Camera

I wanted something straightforward for my daily commute and this fits the bill. The video is super sharp in 4K and the 150° view catches those last-second lane changers. Night vision is good enough that I can still see what's happening when it's raining + dark. Bonus points for the reminder film on the lens—saved me from recording blurry footage for a week.

I keep this in my work truck and it's been running daily for a couple months. The 4K clarity is the big win—when you zoom in, plates don't turn into a pixel soup. Loop recording means I'm not constantly deleting old files, and knowing it auto-saves on impact is reassuring. It also looks sleek on the windshield and doesn't scream expensive gadget.

The camera itself seems good: 4K footage and a wide view are exactly what I wanted for daily driving. My issue was purely setup—finding the right spot so the 150° angle didn't catch too much of my hood took some trial and error. After adjusting, it records reliably and loop recording does its job. Not bad, just wasn't as stick it anywhere as I expected.

I drive a lot of unlit highways and the night vision on this cam is noticeably better than the cheap one I replaced. Headlights are still bright (physics lol) but the rest of the scene doesn't disappear. The 4K detail is also legit—daytime clips look almost too sharp. Shipping was quick and it was packaged like a real electronics product, not just tossed in a mailer.

This is exactly why I wanted a dash cam. Came back to my car with a scrape and the other driver gone, and I was sick over it… until I checked the R2-4K. The camera had saved the impact clip (auto-save on impact) so it didn't get overwritten by loop recording. Footage was clear enough to make out the vehicle and partial plate, and insurance took it seriously for once.
